Description

The Exabyte 215-Plus Mammoth-2 tape library ships with one M2 tape drive installed (accomodates two M2 tape drives) and includes a bar code scanner & bar code label sample set. When populated with two M2 tape drives and 15 225m SmartClean data cartridges (MEDIA NOT INCLUDED) the 215-Plus has a native capacity of 900 GB (2.25 TB compressed) and can back up 86.4 GB/hour native (216 GB/hour compressed). The 215-Plus is black in color and ships in a compact desktop configuration (one cubic foot) and is also rackmountable in a standard 19" rack using the optional rackmount kit (DP - 967741). When rackmounted the unit takes up just five units of rack height and two 215-Plus units can be mounted side-by-side which maximizes valuable data center space. The M2 tape drives are designed to be field replaceable, allowing for ease of service and the ability to upgrade to future-generation tape drives, further protecting the user's investment. The Exabyte 215-Plus tape library is designed for users in IT environments who need high-capacity, cost-effective data storage and fast access to their data in a compact form factor.
