Description

Exabyte's Magnum20 LTO tape library combines high density & high performance for efficient use of costly data center space at a great price. Fully loaded with eight LTO Gen1 tape drives (p/c 1010694) and 148 100GB LTO data cartridges the Magnum20 features a native storage capacity of 14.8 TB (29.6 TB compressed) and a native throughput of 432Gb/hour (864GB/hour compressed). Note that this unit does not ship with drives or media. The Magnum20 can either be installed in a standard 19" rack by using the rackmounting hardware kit (p/c 1010707), or set-up as a standalone unit by using the standalone conversion kit (p/c 1010695). This unit ships with one LVD SCSI interface card installed. It will hold up to four LVD SCSI interface cards (p/c 1010698) for use with partitioning feature. A single power supply is included which accomodates up to four LTO Gen1 tape drives. A second power supply (p/c 1010697) is required when drives 5 - 8 are added and there is room available for a third power supply to provide for redundancy.NATIVE FIBRE CHANNEL capabilities will be available soon... likely Q2 2003. The Magnum20 will be able to house both native fibre channel and LVD SCSI drives simultaneously.
